Jake our new Apprentice!
Jake’s Story
Smarter Technologies is looking to the future! We are very pleased to introduce our new apprentice, Jake Artingstall. Jake will learn the ropes as an IT technician and will be kept very busy. He is already showing great promise and looks destined to become a great IT Technician. At Smarter Technologies we are very passionate about apprenticeships, believing apprenticeships provide a key route to pass knowledge and skills down to the younger generation.
Jake will be taking part in a two-year apprentice scheme and is working towards a BTEC Level 3 diploma in professional competence for IT and telecoms professionals (QCF). Jake will be participating in both on-site and off-site training, as well as attending Bury College one day a week where he will be taking part in modules such as hardware and equipment, user profile admin and networking as well as many more. Here’s a little bit about Jake in his own words:
‘I’m a well-rounded individual who strives to move forward. Gaining an apprenticeship with Smarter Technologies is the perfect opportunity to build upon existing skills as well as developing new ones! As well as business studies , IT has become natural to me beginning as a hobby through gaming and graphic design and eventually realising that IT is what I wanted to base my career around.’
